Joseff Libra Button Earrings in 14K
These exceptional signed designer gold button earrings are a remarkable find for the vintage jewelry collector. Done in a "Russian Gold" matte finish, the signature style of famed jeweler, Joseff of Hollywood, these incredible earrings feature wonderfully stylized hands holding scales to symbolize the zodiac sign libra. Joseff of Hollywood was a designer of costume and fine jewelry in Hollywood, California, from the 1930's up until his death in 1948. His jewels have been in numerous films, and television shows, not least the classic film masterpieces "Gone With The Wind" and "The Wizard Of Oz." These particular earrings are hallmarked with the original, early signature of "JOSEFF" in block letters. The signature was later changed to a scripted version of the words "Joseff of Hollywood." These rare and fascinating estate designer gold earrings measure just over 1 inch in diameter.
